Our Exceptional Team
Committed to Child Safety and Wellbeing
At Perfect Start Early Education, the safety and wellbeing of every child is at the heart of everything we do. We know that entrusting your child to our care is one of the biggest decisions a family makes, and we honour that trust by creating environments where children feel safe, secure and genuinely cared for.
Every educator is carefully selected and thoroughly screened — including Working with Children Checks, verified qualifications and reference checks — and continually supported through ongoing professional development in child protection and safeguarding. Through active supervision, strong educator-to-child ratios and open communication, our team stays fully engaged and responsive to each child’s needs.
We believe child safety is a shared responsibility built on relationships, trust and presence. We’d love for you to visit, meet our team, and see how we keep children safe and supported every day.
Our Values- Educators
At Perfect Start Early Education, these values are at the heart of who we are and what we stand for as educators. This commitment to our families is deeply rooted in our philosophy, guiding our interactions and shaping the nurturing environment we provide.
Compassion
We approach every child with kindness, understanding, and empathy. We know that each child’s journey is unique, and we’re here to support them every step of the way.
Patience
Children thrive in an environment where they feel safe to explore at their own pace. Our educators are patient, offering gentle guidance and support through those challenging moments.
Creativity
Engaging, imaginative activities are central to our play-based learning. We love fostering curiosity, sparking joy, and encouraging children to express themselves through creative play.
Respect
Every child is valued for who they are. We promote respect for each other, ourselves, and the world around us, creating an environment where individuality and diversity are celebrated.
Commitment to Safety
Your child’s safety is our top priority. We are dedicated to providing a secure, nurturing environment where children can confidently explore, learn, and grow.
Integrity
Trust is vital, and we act with transparency and honesty in all our interactions—whether it’s with the children in our care or their families.
Collaboration
We believe in teamwork. Our educators work closely together, communicating openly with families and the wider community, ensuring a connected and supportive learning environment.
Adaptability
Children’s needs can change quickly, and we’re always ready to adjust. Our educators are flexible and respond to the needs of each child with care and understanding.
Passion for Learning
Just as we encourage children to be curious and explore, we are committed to our own learning too. Our team continually seeks new knowledge and training to bring the best practices to our classrooms.
Inclusivity
Every child is welcomed with open arms. We embrace diversity, making sure that all children feel included, valued, and understood, regardless of their background.
Our People · Your Questions Answered
Everything you want to know about our educators
Safe & secure
How do you choose the people who care for my child?
We take great care choosing who joins our team, long before they spend a moment with your child. Here’s the thought and care behind every warm welcome at the door.
How do you get to know educators before they join your team?
We take time to get to know every educator before they join our family — always before any offer is made. Before someone becomes part of our team, we make sure of:
- A valid Working with Children (Blue Card) or Exemption Card
- Their right to work in Australia
- Current, genuine early childhood qualifications
- At least two professional references, including their most recent employer or supervisor
Do all educators have a Blue Card (Working with Children Check)?
Yes — always. Every educator holds a valid Blue Card or Exemption Card, and we confirm it before they’re offered a role, not on their first day. It’s one of the most important ways we keep children safe in Queensland, and we treat it with the seriousness it deserves.
How are children supervised throughout the day?
Your child is gently watched over all day through our Circle of Safety approach. Educators keep children in clear view, stay close to where they’re needed, and remain warmly attentive and engaged — present and caring, never distracted.
What safeguarding training do new educators complete?
Learning to keep children safe begins in an educator’s very first days with us, before they care for children on their own. From there, they’re gently guided through child-protection and policy learning over their first weeks, so safe, caring practice feels natural from the very start.
How do you keep supporting educators after they join?
New educators are warmly supported through regular check-ins. These are caring conversations — a chance to offer guidance, listen, and make sure each new team member feels settled, confident and right at home with the children they care for.
Qualified & growing
How qualified are your educators?
Caring for little ones well takes real knowledge and heart. Here’s a little about what our wonderful team brings to your child’s days.
What qualifications do your educators hold?
Our team holds recognised early childhood education and care qualifications, from our Certificate III and Diploma-qualified educators through to university-qualified early childhood teachers who lovingly lead our Kindergarten program.
Are educators trained in first aid and emergencies?
Yes. Our educators are trained in first aid, CPR, anaphylaxis and asthma management, with qualified first-aiders always on site — so your child is in calm, capable, caring hands whatever the day brings.
Do educators keep learning after they’re qualified?
Absolutely. Ongoing professional development keeps our educators current with best practice in child development, safety and early learning. They reflect on their practice and share insights as a team, so every child benefits from the collective expertise of the whole centre.
What learning frameworks guide their teaching?
Our programs are guided by the national Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and, for Kindergarten, the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline, delivered by educators who know these frameworks deeply and bring them to life through play-based learning.
Do you have specialist educators?
Yes. Alongside our room educators, specialist teachers bring extra depth to your child’s learning across STEM and science, music and movement, language, and sustainability and gardening — enriching the everyday program at no additional cost.
Enroling at Perfect Start
How do you look after your educators?
A happy, supported educator is a better educator, and the way we treat our team shows up directly in the care your child receives.
Why does how you treat educators matter to my child?
When educators feel respected, supported and genuinely happy at work, children feel it too. Settled, valued educators are warmer, more present and more consistent — and that stability is one of the most important things for a young child’s sense of security.
How do you support your educators to grow?
We invest in our team through mentoring, training and clear career pathways, helping educators build rewarding, long-term careers in early childhood education. New team members are mentored from the start, so they feel confident and capable.
What makes the Perfect Start team different?
We’re a close, family-owned team where people look out for one another. That genuine sense of belonging means educators stay with us, build real relationships with your child, and bring their best selves to work each day. We care about our educators as people, not just professionals, and we support their well-being so they can pour their energy into your child.
"When educators feel respected, supported and genuinely happy to be here, children feel it too. That's the foundation of everything we do."
